Uninstalling Yahoo Toolbar from Firefox
Yahoo toolbar enables us to receive Yahoo mail alerts and helps us to save online bookmarks. It is customizable web browser toolbar Add-on which is accessible from any Web-enabled System. However, when we configure Yahoo toolbar in Mozilla FF then it can make it easy for hackers to gain access to your machine. The easiest method to uninstall yahoo toolbar from Firefox is to use uninstall tool which is included in the toolbar. Following are steps to perform un-install.
a) Click on Pencil icon on the Yahoo toolbar to display pencil icon.
b) Next, select the Uninstall menu command.
c) Type the reason why you are installing Yahoo Toolbar.
d) Now select Uninstall again.
e) Restart your browser (Firefox).
Firefox extension manager is also used to remove Yahoo toolbar from Firefox menu. Following are the step to perform uninstall.
a) Open your browser (Firefox).
b) Click on Tools menu.
c) Scroll down the Extensions Manager window to locate the Yahoo toolbar extension.
d) Click on extension and select Uninstall.
e) Select OK.
f) Restart Firefox to implement change.
If you fail to uninstall using above steps then it seems that there is problem with Firefox user profile. To resolve this issue you have to create new Firefox user profile. The user profile is basically used by the Firefox browser to save personal settings like passwords, extensions and bookmarks.
a) Close all browser (Firefox) windows.
c) Type here “firefox.exe-ProfileManager” and press Enter.
d) Now select existing corrupt profile and select Delete Profile.
e) Next, select the Create Profile and follow the instructions to create a new profile based on your requirements.
Once done, you can use above methods to uninstall yahoo toolbar.
You may want to uninstall Yahoo from Mozilla Firefox if you are encountering frequent problems while working with it. You can remove the toolbar either by using the option available on the pencil menu of the toolbar or by using the Firefox Extension manager.
